Edinburgh Extension

This classic Edinburgh bungalow gained planning permission for a large rear extension in June.

The project started on site in September and the timber framed extension is starting to take shape. The extension benefits from very large sliding doors to maximise the daylight and views.

A loft conversion is taking place in conjunction with these works and progress can be seen in a separate post.

Setting Out in North Berwick

An aerial photograph of the extension in North Berwick gives a plan view of the proposal. The foundations have been dug for this garden room to a listed cottage set one street back from the seafront. The scaffold from which this photograph was taken has a wonderful view looking out to the islands of East Lothian.

Night Shot of East Lothian Extension

The interior glows in this night shot taken of an extension recently completed in East Lothian. The room has a very natural feel due to the calm use of materials and simple layout of the space. Flooded with sunshine in the day this space is also cosy in the evenings. The solid oak flooring not only looks warm but feels warm due to underfloor heating. Timber Details at Tynininghame

Vertical Siberian large has been fastidiously detailed at this project neat Tyninighame, East Lothian. It has been inset with solid sections of planed iroko at the windows. The mono pitched roof is in a warm grey prepatinated zinc.
