Lucy Sacker

Lucy studied Architecture at the University of Edinburgh from 1994, graduating in 2000. During this time Lucy undertook professional placements at Burnell Briercliffe Architects in Sheffield, a firm specialising in domestic and community architecture.
After graduating, Lucy worked at Malcolm Fraser Architects in Edinburgh on a variety of public arts buildings and bespoke commercial projects. She qualified as an Architect in 2002 while at Malcolm Fraser Architects.
Lucy joined Helen Lucas Architects in 2005, keen to help people make the most of the homes they live in and the businesses they run. She was promoted to Associate in 2016 and to Senior Associate in 2022.
Lucy has a strong interest in sustainability, and in 2024 qualified as a Certified Passive House Designer. She is able to bring this depth of knowledge and understanding of low energy building design to projects across the office.
