Viewforth Terrace

Living Spaces

The previously unused attic space of a Victorian upper villa has been converted to create a serene and light-filled master bedroom suite with private bathroom and dressing area.

The new dormer window in the bedroom captures views of Edinburgh Castle and beyond which were not visible from anywhere else in the house.

A new timber stair winds above the original entrance stair and a large rooflight floods the area with light. Upstairs, solid maple flooring, simple skirtings and white walls and ceilings give a calm uncluttered feel to the new spaces.

The attention to detail shown by HLA - and by the builder - was hugely appreciated, especially as I felt both clearly understood my taste and style and genuinely wanted me to be happy with the result.
And I am!
