Situated in Edinburgh's New Town, this Category-A listed second storey apartment has been sensitively renovated and refurbished.
Leaving the key volumes intact and revealing original materials was one of the key asprations for the client.
Original flooring was revealed and revitalised - the flagstones in the hall and kitchen were carefully turned and relaid, and the floorboards sanded.
A new shower room and utility area were formed, and an eccentrically shaped existing bathroom provided the opportunity to create an en-suite. This added more light and views to both the bedroom and the en-suite.
The kitchen was designed in a style that had inspired the client, and then commissioned to be made and installed by Colin Parker using Scottish Oak.
New storage was also designed and installed throughout to the clients requirements.
The sensitive decorative palette and light fittings were chosen by the client, and both compliment and enhance the spaces.
