Laura Harty

B.Sc(Hons), B.Arch(Hons), MA, ARB

Laura studied Architecture at University College Dublin, graduating in 2005. She was registered by the RIAI in 2009 and subsequently became an ARB member in 2014 upon relocation to Scotland.

Laura has previously worked on educational and community focused projects within Ireland and the UK from O’Donnell and Tuomey architects in Dublin, notably the London School of Economics New Student Centre and the Sean O’Casey Community Centre. She has also worked on multiple competition entries and exhibition designs, continuously interested in the care and craft of our shared built environment.

This care and craft were the characteristics that appealed to Laura in the work of Helen Lucas Architects. Joining the team in summer 2015, Laura enjoys developing her practice at a domestic scale, applying a considered and collaborative approach to the idiosyncrasies of each project’s demands.
