Jake Woods

Architectural Assistant

BArch(hons) DipArch ARB

Jake studied at the Glasgow School of Art and the Leeds School of Architecture.

He has worked with David Chipperfield Architects in London and Kaminsky Arkitektur in Goteborg. During these years he worked on a range of projects, from large public buildings in America and Europe to installations and exhibitions in London and Stockholm.

Prior to joining Helen Lucas Architects in 2022, Jake gained extensive experience working on residential projects with Ann Nisbet Studio in Glasgow, which instilled a considered design approach and gave him an interest in bespoke detailing and rural architecture.

He has a specific interest in accessible design and how buildings interact with the specific needs of any user in a wholistic and tactile way. Jake is also fascinated with the local history of any project and believes prospective developments should be informed by and build on their context.
